All About Moving: Get the Necessary Quotation

Published on Saturday, 24 October 2009 One of the best things to remember after you've finally decided for yourself to get a contract with the movers is the price. Of course, you can expect that these would range from the length of the journey to the items to be carried. If you have fragile items then it would require a more meticulous handling and special pods. Of course, like in every purchase, there are the usual quotation prices. Yes, you can definitely ask for quotations and per company of movers these can vary. There are two kinds of quotations to consider. These are the general quotations usually given between the contractor and you. One is the Non-binding quotation. From the word itself, this quotation is not binding, meaning it could change depending on the nature and need. Of course, it wouldn't necessarily change simply because the movers wanted it to, as they've got to have valid reasons first. Usually, changes in the price quotations tend to be higher than the original amount. And you also have to let a person from the movers to come into your place to see the items to be brought out so while it may be cheaper than the other type of quotation, it would definitely be more time-consuming and wearisome. The second type of quotation is the Regular quotation. In this, you enter a moving company's office, and contract their services and they give you a price. There's no change in the prices involved as well as a representative from the movers seeing your items. Obviously, you can expect that this is more expensive, but easier. And if you have the money to spare then take this as it will surely spare you from the wearisome experience of a non-binding quotation, which can be likened to a rough estimate.
