Do You Need Moving Insurance?

Published on Tuesday, 09 March 2010

Do You Need Moving Insurance? While you generally hire a removals company to make the move easy and convenient, a lot of things can go wrong. That is why moving insurance is very important in every removal. Do not assume that your removals company will provide them automatically. Make it a point to specifically ask the removals company about it before you hire one. You would not want to problem insurance when your things have already been damaged.   Only go with a removals company that offers at least basic insurance. At times, this is sufficient especially if you don't have valuables. Get the specific details of the insurance though so you will know if you still need to get extra insurance. For instance, know the exclusion and the limit of the coverage. If you have expensive items, you would have to invest in extra coverage so your things will get more protection. It would be best to pay for extra value instead of per weight in this instance. This will generally cost more especially if you get full value coverage. But then you also get peace of mind because you are financially protected. In case of loss or damage, you will not have to worry about a thing.
