Estimating What Fits In Moving Boxes The better the packing, the easier will be the moving. That is why many expert movers recommend the use of moving boxes. Aside from the flexibility they can offer, they also promises easier loading, unloading, and packing. Perhaps the most difficult thing about using moving boxes is utilizing their full space. You can only do that if you have already estimated what will fit in the box before actually using it. Here are some methods on how you can do:  Medium boxes are the most flexible. Larger or smaller boxes are useful. But the standard box size can hold more kinds of items.  Ask the mover's opinion. You can always turn to your mover when it comes to packing. They know more about this matter and they can definitely give you better advice regards with moving boxes.  Use the “common sense” measuring. Try to hold the box and determine how big it is depending on how far your fingertips can reach. Items larger or almost as the same size as that will surely not fit in that box.  Use a calculator. Compute the total area of the box. This is your most accurate way in estimating what fits and not in the moving box.  Have a trial packing with a moving box. Doing this will give you an idea of how large your needed box will be. You definitely can use most of the moving boxes' space as long as you know how to estimate their capacity.
