For instance, mirrors attached to furniture usually need to be removed. The removals company could charge you extra to remove the mirrors. The same goes for marble. This could affect the charges as these items need to be padded for protection.
Large televisions also need extra care. They are heavy and they are fragile too. It could require two persons to lift and load it. There could be a big difference in transporting a 27" and a 55" TV. The difference would even be larger if the movers have to traverse a few floors down.
You also need to inform the movers about the hideaway and recliners of your sofa. This means extra weight and extra hassle in moving so extra charges are usually billed. You should also inform them about the size of your bed. If there is a pull out, a headboard and a footboard, the movers should know about them too. They need to be disassembled from the bed so they naturally add more charges too.
