You will be surprise when you check on your budget that moving takes a lot of money and effort. Sometimes moving is more costly than buying a set of living room set in your new home if you will not plan well on your move.
Being prepared with your moving in and out is the best remedy to this kind of dilemma. Do not take your costs by surprise. Face reality and do some canvassing with moving companies around your area on how much they caused and the services they offer. Searching for the costs of your move would give you more option to save.
You will save a lot of money if your do the packing. Leaving everything to the moving company will cost you much. So, plan ahead. Try allotting at least 30 minutes or one hour of your day everyday in packing some of your things. You will be surprised that after a few days, there is not much to pack.
If you are packing most of your things, you also need to know that most moving company's insurance do not cover things or items they did not pack unless the of course there will be an obvious damage in the box during the transit.
Make sure to pack first those things that are not easily broken like books, cloths, linens, metal cookware, etc. This way, even if you are on a budget, you will still be able to save some cash on your move. So, what are you waiting for? Start packing!
