Navigating through Moving Companies Moving companies are a dime a dozen these days, and the internet is filled with outfits advertising their services and offering competitive rates. However, you can't just pick one out randomly, as moving companies can make or break a move. The first step is always to research well about the companies. Make sure you get not just the rates they have, but the packages and services (and promos , if applicable) they have to give you a more holistic view of the company. Also try to look for feedback, as you can't always take advertising copy by their word. You then compare all the data you've gathered and then try to come up with a shorter list of candidates you will make more detailed inquiries with. If you can afford it, we recommend moving companies that offer all around and full service moving, as this save you the hassle and effort of lugging everything around by yourself. Just make sure that these movers are experienced, especially if you're moving internationally or to another state or county. The same goes for any specialty equipment you might have or special items, like a grand piano. Not every moving company is versed in jobs like these, so be sure to take that into consideration.
