Packing for Your Moving Day

Packing your belongings for the big moving day can seem like an overwhelming job to do. But there are a number of easy things that will make the job quicker and easier. Here are some of them: * Create a Packing List Make a list of all of the items that you will be bringing with you. You can separate each item into categories depending on the room where they will go to. This will make sure that you do not forget any of your belongings at the same time will keep them all organised. * Protect Big Furniture Beds or mattresses, couches, tables, chairs, desks, and dressers need to be properly packed to avoid damages and moisture. Use plastic shrinks to wrap the mattresses. The box spring should have a protective pad to protect it from damages during the move. Insulate the corners of the beds to protect other items from being damaged. Couches, tables and chairs should be shrink-wrapped in plastic bags. * Take Care of Breakable Items Be careful when packing breakable items such as lamps and mirrors. Pack each of them with a few layers of bubble wrap. You can add a layer of towels or old sheets for extra protection. You can slide each item in a garbage bag to protect them from mildew contamination. For small fragile items, you can wrap each item in bubble wrap to make sure they do not roll around and break during transport. Following these tips will not only lessen the burden on moving day. They will also help you feel better on the day of the move.
