Then, you must consider going into the stains first. Make sure that all of the stained area is immaculate before you proceed to the bigger cleaning task. However, when you try to clean some stains, make sure to try the solution first in small areas first to ensure that they are safe.
Moreover, you must also take note that the best tactic to cleaning your old house is to start from top to bottom. You can start from the ceiling, the walls, the fixtures, the furniture and lastly, the floor.
The bottom line here is that though you will not be living in this house anymore, at least respect the new occupants of this old home. It is better to look back to the memories of your house when your last glance to it is a clean home as usual.
