Tips on Packing Efficiently

Published on Monday, 15 March 2010

Tips on Packing Efficiently Moving can be a real pain to handle, especially if it's a big one, or if you are doing everything by yourself. Thankfully though, there are ways to make your move much more efficient and easier - especially when you get to your new home.   One of the most important keys lies in the way you pack. For one, you should inventory all your things, so you can keep better track of them. In the same way you should pack everything per room - so that nothing gets mixed up during unpacking - you should also do your inventory based on this.   Another thing you should remember is to label each box well - this is so you know which box goes where and what exactly is in it. For fragile items, it is especially essential that you conspicuously label the box on all sides to alert anyone who might be handling it that it needs to be handled with care.   Speaking of fragile, you should use extra protective materials to reinforce the packing of your breakables and other similar items. Such materials include packing peanuts and bubble wrap. You can also use crumpled newspapers to help reinforce the inside of the package and provide support.
