What Pet Owners Should Know When They Move

Published on Sunday, 18 October 2009 Pets are part of your family so you will do everything to make them comfortable when you move. Pets are like kids that need special care and attention when the actual move takes place. They also need to adjust the moment you start living in your new home. Think of their welfare and make it one of your priorities. Prior to moving, you need to send your pets to the vet for a check-up. You want to know the doctor's say about your pets so they will have a happy trip during the move. General check-up is usually done and sometimes vets give you helpful advice so you can take care of your pets once they become anxious about the move. To get your pets used to riding vehicles, bring them to your trips once in a while. Long rides should also be experienced by them so they will get used to moving a lot. Make sure that you let your pet wear identification card with your new address in it in case they get lost. Keep some photos of your dogs handy so that you will have something to present to the authorities when you report about the lost. Remember, preventive measures will save your from more troubles-from putting your pets to uncompromising situation.
