Planning plays a great deal of importance in any move, as it gives you a plan of action and a guide throughout the whole process, making things smoother, easier, and less stressful. Making a moving checklist is part of this planning process. A moving checklist contains a list of important things you should not forget when going on a move. While moving checklists vary depending on the needs and situation of the people who are moving, here are a few general items that should be in any moving checklist:
· Change your billing addresses and settle all outstanding bills before you leave. The same goes with anything you've loaned or borrowed, even if they're just books from the public library.
· Estimate for the removals company - compare the prices, extra charges and services of removal companies before making a decision.
· Have enough boxes. Boxes come in different sizes and with different weight limits. Be sure to get enough of all sizes and always take note to never exceed the weight limit of a box.
· Schools, hospitals and other important location for your new home. Scope out the place first so in case of any emergency, especially if any member of the family has an existing medical condition knowing where the hospital is beforehand will surely pay off.
